About me
Kamara Cooper has a proven record of helping Pinellas County Schools and various other school districts develop academically successful students by improving the alignment of curriculum, classroom instruction and assessment, as well as providing structures for conducive learning environments. With more than twenty-five years of service in PK-12 education, Kamara has held a variety of positions including teacher, department head, instructional coach, professional development consultant and currently is a Senior Advisor of Professional Services with Agile Mind . Kamara has been with Agile Mind since 2014. Kamara earned her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1993. She resides in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida and is happily married to Derek Cooper. She is the mother of two adult sons (Kenny and Victor), the grandmother of seven, and serves her community through her church and her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.
