Tuesday July 8, 2025 11:00am - 2:00pm CDT
Keynote Presentation
Susan May, UT Dana Center
Building Thinking Classrooms
In this session, participants will make connections between principles from Building Thinking Classrooms and design elements of Agile Mind. We will look at ways to use resources within Agile Mind to build engagement and student thinking.

Choice Session
MTP 1 & 7: Establish Math Goals to Support Struggling Students
Educators engage in a rich task and analyze responses to student struggle when implementing this task while considering the connection between these two Math Teaching Practices. Educators then reflect on how they utilize goals and objectives to support their students and choose a lesson or task from their course to apply these Math Teaching Practices.

SEAD in the Mathematics Classroom
Wednesday July 9, 2025 11:00am - 2:00pm CDT
Students’ Social, Emotional, and Academic Development (SEAD) and the related mindsets and skills are foundational to their engagement, motivation, and sense of belonging in school. In this session, educators explore SEAD competencies in the mathematics classroom and discuss practical strategies for applying them in daily learning experiences. Fostering a growth mindset, and using proven strategies and metacognitive routines to manage thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in problem solving are key areas of focus.
